the ending to the movie "basic instinct" so was catherine tramel (sharon stone) the killer?
last scene of the movie doesnt make sense.
1. they kind of established the beth (douglas' ex wife) was the killer
2. in the last scene they are having sex in douglas' apartment & they show an ice pick underneath his bed.
why would there be an ice pick underneath his bed unless sharon stone put it there in which case she is either THE killer or just A killer in addition to douglas' ex wife.
what do you make of it?
It left me wondering too. For years I was getting more and more sure she was the killer. Until Basic Instinct 2 I was 99% sure it was her. After I saw Basic Instinct 2 - it got 100%. There she has the same obsession with murder and the outcome actually leaves no doubts about it. She found her peer. Don't want to give any spoilers so trying to be as vague as possible.
